Worship

Each Sunday we weave together music, scripture, prayer, meditation, Biblical teaching, and a beautiful space to create a worship service that includes both traditional and contemporary elements.

We also include special music, such as children's choir, quartets, harp, soloists, and guitar. We frequently use other media as well such as dance, and reader's theater. Banners and other displays create a beautiful environment for worship.

Music

Music is a vital part of our worship at St. Andrew. Our choir is led by David Ziems, and sings every sunday from September to May. Everyone is encouraged to come and sing with the choir. Contact David at dziems@earthlink.net for more information.

Dr. Ziems also brings in very talented musical guests, and fosters the talents of our own congregation to provide special music for holidays, and celebrations.

Windows

In addition to the beautiful "Rose Window" located at the front of the sanctuary, a new set of stainded glass windows have been recently added to the clarestory in the sanctuary. These windows were designed by a member, and were made by members of the church.

Children in Worship

All children are encouraged to attend church with their parents. Activity bags, and a children's bulletin support children through worship. Families also have alternative seating available, with rocking chairs, and room to spread out. For children needing to leave the service, the narthex has seating, and the service can be heard on speakers. All children are encouraged to stay with their parents until after the Time for Young Disciples. Then children under 7 may go to nursery and child care, and children 5 and up are invited to children's choir.
