Southwest Regional Missions

CROP WALK: Crop Walk is an annual national ministry that supports Church World Service, especially the grassroots, hunger-fighting development efforts of partner agencies in 80 countries, by providing tools of hope that empower people to meet their own needs, and on-going disaster relief such as Katrina. Local CROP WALKs can choose to return 25 % of the funds it raises to local hunger-fighting programs. In Albuquerque these funds go to the Storehouse, St. Martins, Storehouse West, Project Share, and Cuidando Los Ninos.

BORDER MINISTRY: Provides goods and money desperately needed during the summer to prevent border crossing deaths, thereby supporting peace and justice efforts at immigrant centers in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert. Parishes

In order to provide more support, and a smaller community within the church, St. Andrew developed a parish system. There are four parishes, each served by a deacon. The parishes provide support for congregants needing extra help around an illness, or birth of a child. They provide fellowship through potlucks, and other get togethers, and they always remember birthdays and anniversaries with a card, or a call.
