| About Us
We are located just east of San Mateo, on Ponderosa, across from Erna Ferguson Library and Montgomery Park. Sunday morning services are at 9:30. Sunday School is from 11:00-12:00 for ages 2- adult.
St. Andrew is progressive and socially active. The Church seeks to be a dynamic Reformed community of faith that proclaims the Good News of Jesus Christ by reaching out to others in compassionate service, celebrating our faith together in worship, encouraging all ages to grow personally and spiritually, and nurturing and supporting one another in Christian love.
|
| Our Mission
St. Andrew Presbyterian Church is a working congregation in the Reformed tradition embodied in a community of learners where diversity is embraced. We believe Jesus Christ calls us to exercise compassion and to work for justice and peace. We seek to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ in the world, theologically bold and spiritually generous, sent by the power of the Holy Spirit into God’s world.
|
| Our Vision
We will build on our traditions of discipleship through lay participation in vital worship, committed involvement in social justice ministries, and strong Christian education programs that strengthen faith and develop a sense of mission throughout life. We will continue to encourage all members to be active participants in God’s redeeming and reconciling activity in the world.
|
| Our Goals
Strengthen active participation in creative worship to provide experiences that glorify God and speak to the hearts of all in our worship community.
Engage in the struggle to free people from fear, sin, oppression, hunger and injustice through all of our ministries.
Encourage persons of all ages to grow in faith through worship, prayer, Christian education, small groups, fellowship and mission.
Meet the spiritual and physical needs of members, friends and community, encouraging the growth of authentic relationships in a fellowship that operates with love and understanding.
Uphold members and friends as they use the gifts and abilities God has given, honoring and serving God in personal life, in household and families, in daily occupations, in community, nation and the world.
|
| Our Congregation
St. Andrew is unique in that its small congregation(about 250 members) is full of amazing talent and spirit. With strong ties to the university and other research institutions, members of our church lead in-depth Christian Education, support over 50 Missions in the community, provide enlightening programs for the congregation, and give an amazing feeling of support to our whole church family.

| Our History
In 1959 under the direction of the Presbytery of the Rio Grande, a new church development was begun in what was then the FAR northeast heights of Albuquerque - an empty space of unpaved roads and empty desert.
The Rev. Mr. Earl S. Harvey was the organizing Pastor. The first service was held on January 4, 1959, in the Albuquerque Square Dance Building on Washington, NE. The organizational date is February 22, 1959, with 103 charter members.
